Little Saints Community Pre-School is a registered charity and is run by an elected committee of volunteers and members of staff. One benefit of this is that all major decision making can be in the hands of the parents and carers of the children who attend the Pre-School.
Our committee is made up of the following roles:
Two Staff Representatives
The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting held in the Autumn Term each year and the election is made by the parents who attend.
The committee appoints the supervisor and the staff, and is responsible for overseeing both policies and practice in the Pre-school.
The Committee is also heavily involved in organising fund raising events, which are vital to provide money for new and replacement equipment.
Other roles of the Committee include:
Staffing and HR matters
Liaison with representatives of the Church Hall
The committee is a local group of friendly people associated with the setting (typically parents) and we are always keen to invite new members to help us achieve our aspirations.
The committee meets once a month. If you can spare a few hours and would like to join the committee or help in other ways, please do contact the pre-school. We would be delighted to have you on board.
When joining the committee you will be required to have a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check and be registerd for 'Early Years 2' with OfSTED. Details and help with these applications can be provided by the committee.
